- Teaching Skills for Growth
To challenge men toward, spiritual and emotional growth for the benefit of the man and the glory of God.
- Developing Personal Vision
To awaken men to their own deep significance and encourage them, as eternal beings, to view life from an eternal, not a temporal perspective.
- Building Sense of Purpose
To help men identify their own gifts, entrusted to them by God, for His own purposes.
- Promoting Service
To connect men, as they become ready, with opportunities for service using their own gifts.

Is Realife for Me? |
Life is a challenge. If we are not really challenged, then we are
not really living.
Many of us are not really living, and that is because we avoid the biggest challenges of all…the ones inside ourselves. And everyone has them, whether we know it or not. And we all need help (or outright rescue), whether we admit it or not.
We all tend to avoid our internal challenges in the same way…by attributing them to external circumstances. This self-trickery can be seen in the following attitudes:
|
|
|
-
“When I meet that goal, I will be satisfied.”
-
“When I get married I’ll settle down.”
-
“When I have kids I’ll become more spiritual.”
-
“If I had that job, that car, that house…I would be content.”
-
“If my wife were more interested I would not be involved with this other woman.”
-
“All this stress is making me drink too much.”
-
“Once I get my money back I’ll stop.”
|
None of the above statements can become true and lasting unless accompanied by an internal change that begins in the person as he takes ownership of and responsibility for his own life. There is no external cause for an internal problem….honest people know this. If we want to see real change come, we must first confront
ourselves, and face our internal
challenges. This will produce a sober humility and an appropriate sense of need for help. This level of honesty with ourselves, although unsettling, can become a window onto a new landscape, a richer, deeper, more meaningful experience..…a life where we can really live.
(see 2 Cor 4:16-18)
